Providing Essential Aid to Children in Gaza

We’re Here for them

The Humanitarian Fund for Displaced Children in Gaza is a mutual aid initiative providing essential goods to vulnerable children in extreme need throughout Gaza.

We provide a safe, legal, and non-political structure that serves as a bridge through which caring citizens around the world can help Palestinian children in real time.

100% of every donation is used to purchase and deliver essential goods, including:

  • Baby formula & diapers
  • Food & water
  • Clothing
  • Blankets
  • Tents
  • Over the counter medical supplies

Children receive the packages within 2-4 days of the order being placed.

Our orders are distributed in collaboration with The Gaza Giving Cart, a project sponsored by Rebuilding Alliance, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) based in California that has been advancing equal rights for Palestinian people for over 20 years. As a result, our transactions are in full compliance with all applicable U.S. laws and regulations governing international money transfers and financial record keeping.

We are transparent. Our donors know what items are purchased with their money and who receives the supplies. All purchases are published with photo documentation on our Chuffed platform and our financial ledgers are available to view at our Fund Allocation Document. Receipts are available upon request at info@displacedchildrensfund.org.

We can also facilitate communication between donors and families.

We invite you to connect your compassion with action that provides immediate and tangible relief. It can change everything for a child in distress. It might change you too.

A direct, transparent model for emergency aid

The Humanitarian Fund for Displaced Children in Gaza operates through a mutual aid structure that allows emergency relief to reach families immediately, without the delays of formal incorporation. Guided by an international Board of Directors closely connected to the communities served, all funding decisions are made collaboratively and transparently to ensure equity, accountability, and the greatest possible impact for vulnerable children.

Our process

1. Identifying Families in Need

Families facing urgent hardship are identified through trusted partners or by contacting the Fund directly.

2. Verification

Each family is carefully verified by both an external advocate and a Fund Board member to confirm identity, location, and details of need.

3. Family Enrollment

Once verified, families are added to the Fund and remain in regular contact with Board members and volunteers as their circumstances change.

4. Allocation of Donations

Donations are distributed based on donor specifications when provided. Undesignated funds are allocated through a rapid review process that prioritizes urgency, vulnerability, and fairness.

5. Transfer of Aid

Essential goods are purchased and trasferred directly to our partner-families through The Gaza Giving Cart, a 501(c)(3) based in the U.S.A. We also collaborate with other trusted mutual aid partnerships with teams on the ground throughout Gaza.

6. Transparency

All distributions are published with photo documentation of deliveries, dated financial records, and with additional transfer details available upon request.

Urgent Evacuations

The Humanitarian Fund is collaborating with Rebuilding Alliance, Friends Commitee on National Legislation (FCNL), and other NGOs and mutual aid initiatives in support of Fund families who are awaiting urgent medical evacuation.

These families are are at heightened risk of malnutrition and complications related to the harsh living conditions of tent life, inlcuding the lack of functioning sanitation systems and access to clean water.

Donation Allocations

Donors are able to give designated or non-designated gifts. A designated donation is a gift given to a specific family. An undesignated gift is a donation made to the Fund on behalf of any/all families who are a part of the Fund and is used to serve those in most urgent need at the time of the donation.

In the case of undesignated gifts, the Fund Board decides how to distribute the funds based on a rapid review process that accounts for (1) vulnerability of each child due to age, medical status, length of time without food or formula, (2) exposure to extreme temperatures, (3) additional donations or other means of support recently received by the family.

Whether designated or undesignated, each family chooses the items they receive from The Gaza Giving Cart with each donation.

Donors who would like to designate a gift can include the name of the child or children in the notes section when processing the payment through our Chuffed platform.

Sister-Family Sponsorships

Sister-family sponsorships allow donors to offer a more secure commitment to a Fund family by sponsoring the provision of milk and diapers or a customized grocery package for a child on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. This provides nutritional stability and relative food security, virtually eliminating extended periods of lack. It represents the most powerful extension of solidarity we can offer a child in Gaza. For those interested in exploring this possibility, please reach out to info@displacedchildrensfund.org for more information.
