Yassin and Muhammed live in a tent with their mother and father. The boys have lost two siblings (Sanad, boy, 8 months and Ghazal, girl, 6 years) while awaiting medical evacuation for a genetic disorder that Yassin also has. He suffers from an enlarged liver and spleen, continuous chest infections, loss of appetite, and weakness. These symptoms are aggravated by lack of medicine, inadequate nutrition, and exposure to the cold of a drafty tent.
