Bana’s Broken Arm

Sami (3) and Bana (1) live in North Gaza near the very dangerous and frequently moving “Yellow line”. Recently the shelling has been so close as to rock the building that they are sheltering in. Just three weeks ago, Sami was struck by flying shrapnel and suffered a gaping wound near his eye that needed stitching and then became infected. Now his sister, Bana, has suffered a broken arm. A wall near where she was sitting was damaged from the intensity of the shelling and a piece of concrete fell onto her, resulting in several fractures. Her arm has been set in a cast and a follow up appointment with the doctor is scheduled for this week- the result of which will determine if there will be a need for surgery. This family once again had to wait for a donation to clear before they could secure pain medication for their child. If you would like to support them by providing groceries during this difficult time, please include the note “For Bana” with your gift of any amount. Thank you.
