Zein (6) suffers from brain atrophy, seizures, and malnutrition. He and his sibling survived a bombing that claimed the life of his oldest brother, Ali (13), and seriously injured his sister Misk (5). They live in a severely bombed out building and rely on charity kitchens for food. In the absence of those provisions, the children do not eat.
